"I moved to NYC to do theatre. But the opportunity to do NEW THEATRE is something I find so important. I will never get sick of sitting in a dark theatre and watching a play. It's one of my favorite things to do. But there are other ways to explore and experience theatre, and I am so excited for this one. Think Sleep No More, but in a LES club, and it's not one play happening all around you- it's like 20. And each of these different NEW plays takes place on a date. A first date, a blind date, a hook up.. the couple that's been together way too long. The perfect date, the WORST date, a complete freak show of a date- all happening, simultaneously, all around you. And you get to walk around with a drink in your hand, and watch ALL of it. Think of all the conversations you've ever heard part of in a NYC bar- now imagine that you could go ease drop on ALL of them, and not only will no one judge you- you'll be completely encouraged to do so. This is theatre. This is PLAY/DATE. Check it out. " -Laura

PLAY/DATE

Laura is so excited to be joining 7 other fantastic Actor's for this one of a kind theatrical endeavor!

Three plays are performed simultaneaously in each of four rounds, with a chance between each round to grab a drink at the bar. Each of the 12 plays is only performed once, with the audience choosing their own experiences with which pieces they choose to watch. Something akin to a theatrical speed dating event, PLAY/DATE audiences are encouraged to sip cocktails as the 8 Actors perform 12 Plays featuring a motley crew of 34 soul mates, missed connections and everyone in between (including the bartenders who unite them all).

Inspired by the New York City dating scene, complete with Facebook stalking, treks to outer boroughs to get laid and ugly public breakups- PLAY/DATE will be performed in the Speakeasy Room at Penny Farthing on the following dates:

Monday Oct. 7th @ 8pm

Tuesday Oct. 8th @ 8pm

Weds. Oct. 9th @ 8pm

Tuesday Oct. 15th @ 8pm

Weds. Oct. 16th @ 8pm

Filming Resumes

Laura continues filming another passion project with writer/director Al Sutton, this time sharing the screen with Co-star Dan Hedaya. EATING OUT is yet another fascinating snapshot into the lives of a particular disfunctional, (or completely normal) relationship. Laura is thrilled to be working again will Al Sutton, Nara Garber and of course, to be working with Dan, who's work she's been a fan of for many years.

THE PRIDE

The Pride by Alexi Kaye Campbell produced by Laura's company, Third Year Collective, was an amazing success! The one week run was a beautiful way to Partner with NYC Pride, and Laura and her cast mates were thrilled to share their opening night with the historical Supreme Court ruling which found DOMA unconstitutional!
